A new report looks into police racial profiling in Texas. The annual data analysis was released by Dr. Alex del Carmen of Tarleton State University and the A&M University System. It was done in accordance with provisions in the Sandra Bland Act.

Some key findings from the Institute for Predictive Analytics in Criminal Justice: The Texas Department of Public Safety reported the most stops (1,687,895) in 2021 | The Houston Police Department (203,671) and Harris County Sheriff’s Office (131,816) represent the next two largest number of stops in 2021.
